Concepts of Equilibrium Exchange Rates [PDF]
This paper explains what is meant by the concept of equilibrium exchange rates. It argues that a variety of equilibrium exchange rates can be defined and their behaviour will vary according to different definitions of the exchange rate, and over short, medium and long-term horizons.

Concepts of rate responsive pacing
IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Magazine, 1990Various concepts for measuring (by means of biosensors incorporated into pacemakers) biologic parameters to determine the appropriate pacing rate are reviewed. They are pH, stimulus-to-T-wave interval, blood temperature, intercardiac blood pressure change, venous oxygen saturation, intercardiac impedance (stroke volume, ejection rate, preejection ...

Peer-Concept Ratings in Rural Children
Psychological Reports, 1969Comparison of peer perceptions of 95 rural Negro and 95 white elementary level students shows substantial differences across race in the factor structure on a form of Osgood's Semantic Differential. Caste, class, race, grade level, poverty level, or other factors should, in further studies, be related to the depressed peer evaluation of Negro samples ...

Cumulative conception rates following gonadotropin therapy
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1980During the years 1963 to 1978, 515 patients were treated with HMG. They were divided into two groups depending upon the absence (Group I) or presence (Group II) of distinct endogenous estrogen activity. Group II patients were referred after failure of clomiphene therapy. None of the patients had mechanical or male infertility factors.

Seasonal Trends in Adolescent Pregnancy Conception Rates
Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, 2010The objectives of this study were to determine if a seasonal trend exists in adolescent pregnancies and to compare the teen conception rate per month to an adult population. The study was conducted in a tertiary care Canadian hospital that has a one-site model of care.A retrospective chart review of all adolescent pregnancies over a 5-year period (N ...

Semen Parameters and Conception Rates after Intraperitoneal Insemination
Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, 1997To analyze the reproductive outcome in infertile couples which underwent intraperitoneal insemination (IPI).We analyzed a series of 216 couples who underwent IPI. Indications for treatment were unexplained infertility in 51 couples and male factor in 165. The 51 couples with unexplained infertility underwent a total of 71 cycles (20 couples underwent a

Core Concepts: Neonatal Glomerular Filtration Rate
NeoReviews, 2010Although the placenta is the primary organ responsible for fetal clearance and electrolyte homeostasis, fetal kidneys contribute to amniotic fluid production and fetal hemodynamics. Maternal factors can significantly influence fetal urinary output and blood pressure.

Monitoring Trends in Conception Rate
American Association of Bovine Practitioners Conference Proceedings, 1988Monitoring results of a breeding program, especially evaluating trends in conception rate, should be an integral part of a reproductive herd health program.1 "Conception rate" is defined here as the number of pregnancies resulting from a given number of services which when multiplied by 100 becomes a percentage.

Teachers' Ratings of Single-Concept Fliers
Teacher Education and Special Education: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Council for Exceptional Children, 1984Single-concept fliers dealing with students who are academically frustrated and students who do not pay attention in class were evaluated by 176 regular and special educators. The fliers were designed to provide assistance to teachers at a very basic level. The ratings were positive and the data are presented in tabular format.

Concepts of Equilibrium Exchange Rates
1997Calculations of estimated equilibrium exchange rates can provide guidance in judging the extent to which actual exchange rates are in line with the fundamentals. First, we describe the concepts of Williamson’s FEER and the IMF economists’ DEER equilibrium exchange rate. Then these concepts are contrasted with the NATREX approach.
