A review of conceptual clustering algorithms

Artificial Intelligence Review, 2018
Clustering is a fundamental technique in data mining and pattern recognition, which has been successfully applied in several contexts. However, most of the clustering algorithms developed so far have been focused only in organizing the collection of objects into a set of clusters, leaving the interpretation of those clusters to the user.

The Algorithmic Crystal: Conceptualizing the Self through Algorithmic Personalization on TikTok

Proceedings of the ACM on Human-Computer Interaction, 2022
This research examines how TikTok users conceptualize and engage with personalized algorithms on the TikTok platform. Using qualitative methods, we analyzed 24 interviews with TikTok users to explore how algorithmic personalization processes inform people's understanding of their identities as well as shape their orientation to others.

An algorithm to compare OO-conceptual schemas

International Conference on Software Maintenance, 2002. Proceedings., 2003
In this paper, an algorithmic study of how to compare object-oriented conceptual schemas in a data migration context is carried out. An algorithm is presented based on the tree-comparison technique that compares conceptual schemas. The algorithm uses semantic information in order to optimize efficiency.

Conceptualization of Personalized Privacy Preserving Algorithms

2015
In recent years, personal data has been shared between organizations and researchers. While sharing information, individuals’ sensitive data should be preserved. For this purpose, a number of algorithms for privacy-preserving publish data have been designed. These algorithms modify or transform data to protect privacy.

LC: A Conceptual Clustering Algorithm

2001
An algorithm for automated construction of conceptual classification is presented. The algorithm arranges the objects into clusters using clustering criterion based on graph theory and constructs the concepts based on attributes that distinguish objects in the different computed clusters (typical testors). The algorithm may be applied in problems where

Evolutionary algorithm for multiresolutional conceptual learning

Proceedings of the 2000 Congress on Evolutionary Computation. CEC00 (Cat. No.00TH8512), 2002
An effort is made to show how evolutionary algorithms (EA) can be applied within the domain of learning control systems with multiresolutional representation.
