Fracture of the Passive Film on Reinforcing Steel in Concrete Under Mechanical Loading
Bending load induces a flexural crack in reinforced concrete specimen. Above the critical load inducing crack, a macro cell corrosion current is recorded by steel coupons embedded in the concrete.
