Compressive Strength Reduction of Concrete Subjected to Hydrostatic Compression
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012An experimental study of the damage behavior of two kinds of concrete with different strength grades has been performed using 100mm cubes subjected to increasing hydrostatic loading history, namely, the isotropic compression at high pressure. The compressive strength and ultrasonic velocity are measured before and after loading history, respectively ...

COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF REINFORCED CONCRETE MASONRY WALLS
2005The strength of reinforced concrete masonry walls formed with mortared stretcher bonded concrete ‘H’ blocks, core filled with high slump grout and centrally reinforced with unrestrained reinforcement is investigated. Codes of practice consider masonry walls with unrestrained reinforcement to be unreinforced.

Prediction of compressive strength of concrete
Matériaux et Constructions, 1974The paper, which summarises a survey and an analysis of empirical strength laws, was undertaken with a view to formulating a strength law interrelating the water-cement ratio-which determines the porosity of the hardened cement-paste-and Powers's Gel/Space ratio, giving the relative strength of the cement stone.

Testing High-Strength Concrete Compressive Strength
ACI Materials Journal, 1993Comparative testing reveals that high strength concrete (HSC) compressive strength values are greater by 5% when measured on 100 x 200 mm specimens. Moreover, the coefficient of variation on one set of three 100 x 200 mm specimens is as small as, or smaller than that for 150 x 300 mm specimens.

The Dispersion of Concrete Compressive Strength of Existing Buildings
2014The correct estimation of the compressive concrete strength plays a key role in the evaluation of the structural performance of existing RC buildings. Both Italian (NTC 2008) and European (EC8) Standards define different levels of knowledge according to the number of tests carried out on a building.

Variability of Compressive Strength of Concrete Cores
Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities, 2014AbstractA comprehensive test program was conducted on the compressive strength of concrete cores. The tests involved eight mixes of concrete. Because over 200 tests were conducted, it was possible to undertake an analysis of the concrete cores using the probabilistic treatment of strength.

Neural prediction of concrete compressive strength
International Journal of Materials and Structural Integrity, 2018In the past, a few researchers predicted the compressive strength of concrete from its ingredients by employing artificial neural network (ANN). Evaluation of the models with different performance metrics, such as correlation coefficient and errors of estimation, indicated that there was scope for improvement in the prediction performance of ANN.

Predicition of concrete compressive strength
2008A compressive strength of concrete is considered as its basic material property. The conventional practice is that other mechanical and physical properties are brought into correlation with the compressive strength. Therefore, the prediction of compressive strength has always been of the greatest importance.

Residual Compressive Strength of Heated Concrete
Architectural Science Review, 1993Test results of a study designed to analyse the effect of elevated temperatures on the compressive strength of concrete incorporating factors such as water-cement ratio, aggregate-cement ratio, time of exposures are presented. It was shown that water-cement ratio is not a sensitive factor, while the hours of exposure to heat and the concrete mix are.
