Analysis and review of concrete-filled double skin steel tubes under compression

open access: yes, 2020
The existing literature concerning the axial performance of concrete-filled double-skin steel tubular (CFDST) columns has been reviewed in this paper. The models in the literature for predicting the behavior of steel materials and confined concrete are ...

Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Concrete-Filled Tube Beams: A Review Paper

open access: yesJournal of Engineering
Concrete-filled steel tubes (CFST) are structural members consisting of hollow steel tubes filled with concrete. Both steel and concrete work together to provide several advantages.

Hierarchical Summary Statistics Encoding Across Primary Visual and Posterior Parietal Cortices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that mouse V1 simultaneously encodes the ensemble mean and variance of motion, providing a robust summary‐statistic representation that persists despite single‐neuron variability. These signals propagate to PPC, where they are transformed into abstract category representations during decision making.

Structural design of concrete filled steel elliptical hollow sections [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents the behaviour and design of axially loaded elliptical steel hollow sections filled with normal and high strength concrete. The experimental investigation was conducted with three nominal wall thickness (4mm, 5mm and 6.3mm) and ...

Pengaruh Model Analisa Elemen Hingga dan Sifat Material Terhadap Perilaku Struktural Tabung Baja Persegi Diisi Beton [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The composite material steel tubes filled with concrete (concrete filled steel tubes, CFST) are becoming widely recommended in modern structural projects. This material is made of steel tubes filled with concrete. This CFST structure has better ductility

Allogeneic Immune Cell Perfusion Inhibits the Growth of Vascularized 3D In Vitro Tumor Models, Induces Vascular Regression and Desmoplasia, but Promotes Tumor Cell Invasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a vascularized 3D tumor model to investigate immune–stromal–tumor interactions under allogeneic PBMC perfusion. While immune cells induced tumor shrinkage, they also promoted vascular regression, stromal activation, and cancer cell invasion.

Hydration Heat and Shrinkage of the Support of High-performance Concrete-filled Steel Tubes

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2018
To strengthen the prevention of cracks in hydration heat engineering. On the basis of summarizing and analyzing the models for hydration heat of concrete, numerical methods are used to calculate the temperature change curve of the core concrete in cement

Load-bearing capacity of concrete elements reinforced with steel and composite coatings [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
In the article, the compressive strength of steel-concrete structures defined as CFST (Concrete Filled Steel Tubular) has been checked. The steel elements used in CFST columns have high tensile strength and ductility while the concrete elements have high

Technobiological Pathways for High‐CO₂ Capture Using Micro‐/Macroalgae: Genetic Engineering, Process Automation, and Value‐Added Bioproducts

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have emerged as one of the most critical drivers of climate change; this is primarily due to high concentrations and long atmospheric life of carbon dioxide (CO2). For a significant amount of time, various biological processes such as microalgal cultivation, cyanobacterial systems, photosynthetic microorganisms ...
