A Review of the Performance Properties of Geopolymer Pavement-Quality Concrete
The construction of concrete pavements has increased due to their better durability, lifespan, and lower maintenance costs. However, this has resulted in the increased consumption of Portland cement, which is one of the major contributors to carbon ...

The public role of the university professor [PDF]
This article suggests that college and university professors consider taking on a more public role that carries them, with greater frequency, beyond the iron gates or concrete pavements of their own academic institutions into the public sphere – not ...

Collision‐Resilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures
Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collision‐resilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.

Influence of early-age concrete behaviour on concrete pavements performance
Cracks in joints are the consequence of concrete behaviour in the initial period of use of pavement structures, which can affect structural properties of concrete pavements.

Green Up Pavement Rehabilitation Design Tool [PDF]
While designers produce pavement rehabilitation recommendations every day, for projects of all sizes, most designers have little information on the environmental impact of their recommendations.

Ecosystem‐Centered Robot Design: Toward Ecoresorbable Sustainability Robots (ESRs)
Robots exploring natural ecosystems can support monitoring and conservation, but must adopt ecosystem‐centered design to avoid pollution, waste, and damage. This review proposes guidelines for co‐designing ecoresorbable sustainability robots (ESRs), uniting materials, robotics, and ecological contexts in a single framework.

Thin concrete overlays wit carbon reinforcement on deteriorated concrete pavements
In many countries, concrete pavements are normally built as Jointed Plain Concrete Pavements. Due to a lack of alternatives, repairing deteriorated concrete pavements usually requires the replacement of the complete pavement structure and maintaining the
