EXTENDED SERIAL GRAPH-VALIDATION QUEUE SCHEME WITH LOCKING STRATEGY

open access: yesBarekeng
In today's digital landscape, collaborative work in real-time is on the rise, allowing individuals to connect across different locations through applications facilitated by client-server architecture, enabling users to access and work on the same project

Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

Concurrency of partnerships, consistency with data, and control of sexually transmitted infections

open access: yesEpidemics, 2018
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are a globally increasing public health problem. Mathematical models, carefully matched to available epidemiological and behavioural data, have an important role to play in predicting the action of control measures.

Concurrent analysis of choice and control in childbirth [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Pregnancy and Childbirth, 2011
Abstract Background This paper reports original research on choice and control in childbirth. Eight women were interviewed as part of a wider investigation into locus of control in women with pre-labour rupture of membranes at term (PROM) [1].

Escape from TGF‐β‐induced senescence promotes aggressive hallmarks in epithelial hepatocellular carcinoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

Testing method of performance of coal mine safety monitoring and control system based on LoadRunner

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2014
For problems that current testing methods of performance of coal mine safety monitoring and control system cannot meet testing requirements under conditions of large data and concurrent operation of multi-users, a testing method of performance of coal ...

The impact of recovery on concurrency control

open access: yesProceedings of the eighth ACM SIGACT-SIGMOD-SIGART symposium on Principles of database systems, 1989
The paper investigates the constraints that recovery methods for transaction systems impose on concurrency control, a subject which seems to have been neglected by theoreticians so far. More specifically, two popular recovery methods are considered: update in place (in which the effects of a transaction that is aborted at some point are ``undone'') and

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Transparent Concurrency Control: Decoupling Concurrency Control from DBMS

open access: yes, 2019
For performance reasons, conventional DBMSes adopt monolithic architectures. A monolithic design cripples the adaptability of a DBMS, making it difficult to customize, to meet particular requirements of different applications. In this paper, we propose to completely separate the code of concurrency control (CC) from a monolithic DBMS. This allows us to
