Concurrent chemoradiotherapy with S-1 and cisplatin in advanced esophageal cancer
Diseases of the Esophagus, 2008How best to manage advanced esophageal cancer remains unresolved, especially in palliative care. Here, in a pilot study, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of concurrent chemoradiotherapy with S-1 and cisplatin in advanced esophageal cancer. Patients with locally advanced or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus received S-1 and ...

Concurrent chemoradiotherapy with paclitaxel and cisplatin for adenocarcinoma of the cervix.
Journal of Clinical Oncology, 20125086 Background: Adenocarcinoma of the cervix has a worse prognosis than its squamous counterpart, particularly when cancer cells spread beyond the uterine cervix. This is derived from the observation that adenocarcinoma is less sensitive to radiotherapy (RT) and chemotherapy It is unclear whether cisplatin-based concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT ...

Concurrent chemoradiotherapy for primary cervical spinal cord germinoma
Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, 2009We report a rare case of primary intramedullary germinoma in the cervical spine of a 39-year-old woman without evidence of intracranial or disseminated disease. The germinoma was treated by a biopsy and follow-up concurrent chemoradiotherapy. This is the only reported case of primary spinal cord germinoma for which concurrent chemoradiotherapy was ...

Patient and Treatment Factors in Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy
2016The MACH-NC analysis demonstrated a 6.5 % absolute improvement in 5-year overall survival with concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) over radiotherapy (RT) alone. High-dose cisplatin (100 mg/m2 on days 1, 22, and 43 during RT) was identified as the most effective regimen.

Head and Neck, 2019
This study aimed to evaluate the role of baseline circulating tumor cells (CTCs) before and during concurrent chemoradiotherapy and attempted to determine the impacts of CTCs on the outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

Concurrent chemoradiotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer
Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 2010This is an updated version of the original review published in Issue 4, 2004. The use of concurrent chemotherapy and radiotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) might be seen as a way of increasing the effectiveness of radical radiotherapy at the same time as reducing the risks of metastatic disease. To determine the effectiveness of concurrent ...

Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy in the Treatment of Locally Recurrent Rectal Cancer
Hepatogastroenterology, 2012Long course concurrent chemoradiotherapy provides potential tumor downstaging. When local recurrent rectal cancer without distant metastases is diagnosed, a potentially curative resection can be performed. The aim of this study was to assess the outcome of concurrent chemoradiotherapy in treating isolated local recurrent rectal cancer.Patients (n=102 ...
