Electrocatalytic HER Performance of [FeFe]‐Hydrogenase Mimics Bearing M‐salen Moieties (M=Zn, Ni, Fe, Mn)

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 11, February 20, 2025.
The synthesis of novel complexes (5‐8) combining [(μ‐adt)Fe2(CO)6] fragments and M‐salen (M=Zn, Ni, Fe, Mn) complexes has been achieved. Computational studies confirm distinct geometries for the Zn, Ni, Fe, and Mn complexes. Electrochemical and electrocatalytic experiments reveal cooperative proton reduction and notable reductions in overpotential ...

Behind the lenses: Biases in the contribution of wildlife photography to biodiversity representation

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 7, Issue 2, Page 541-556, February 2025.
Abstract Nature‐related visual media has a significant impact on today's society by engaging the public in conservation problems and promoting pro‐environmental behaviours. Although major attention has been paid to how some types of visual media (e.g. documentaries) offer unrealistic portrayals of the natural world, biases on representation by wildlife

Hybrid Nanoparticles: Ni and Au Decorated with [FeFe]‐Hydrogenase Mimics

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 17, Issue 1, January 9, 2025.
Complexes [(μ‐S₂C₂H₄NHR)Fe₂(CO)₆] (R = p‐C₆H₄‐OCO(CH₂)₉Br (3a); R = p‐C₆H₄‐OCO(CH₂)₈CH₃ (3b)) are used as stabilizing agents in the synthesis of Ni@3 and Au@3 nanoparticles (NPs), which are the first reported stable metallic NPs decorated with [(μ‐S₂C₂H₄NHR)Fe₂(CO)₆] moieties.

Unveiling herbaceous plant responses to future triple interaction of drought and elevated temperature and [CO2]: systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesPhysiologia Plantarum, Volume 177, Issue 1, January/February 2025.
Abstract During the last decades, the breeding of major crops is growing at a slower rate than desirable to meet future food demands in many agro‐environments. Moreover, extreme climatic conditions, and particularly, drought impairments associated with climate change, are limiting the genetic gains of crops in temperate areas, especially in the ...

Proteomic profiling of human plasma extracellular vesicles identifies PF4 and C1R as novel biomarker in sarcopenia

open access: yesJournal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 15, Issue 5, Page 1883-1897, October 2024.
Abstract Background Sarcopenia, the gradual and generalized loss of muscle mass and function with ageing, is one of the major health problems in older adults, given its high prevalence and substantial socioeconomic implications. Despite the extensive efforts to reach consensus on definition and diagnostic tests and cut‐offs for sarcopenia, there is an ...

Description and Evaluation of the CNRM‐Cerfacs Climate Prediction System (C3PS)

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 16, Issue 10, October 2024.
Abstract The CNRM‐Cerfacs Climate Prediction System (C3PS) is a new research modeling tool for performing climate reanalyzes and seasonal‐to‐multiannual predictions for a wide array of Earth system variables. C3PS is based on the CNRM‐ESM2‐1 model including interactive aerosols and stratospheric chemistry schemes as well as terrestrial and marine ...
