Condensation of Indole with Isatin over AlCl3/Mesoporous Aluminosilicate

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2015
Aluminium chloride immobilized on mesoporous aluminosilicate was investigated as catalysts in the condensation of isatin with indole. AlCl3/mesoporous aluminosilicate (AlCl3/AM) catalysts were prepared by impregnation of 1, 5, 10 and 15 wt% AlCl3 on the ...

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Continuous condensation in nanogrooves

open access: yes, 2018
We consider condensation in a capillary groove of width $L$ and depth $D$, formed by walls that are completely wet (contact angle $\theta=0$), which is in a contact with a gas reservoir of the chemical potential $\mu$.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Single Pair of Weyl Points Evolve From Spin Group‐Protected Nodal Line in Half‐Metallic Ferromagnet V3S4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A spin group (SG)‐based mechanism is proposed to realize a single pair of Weyl points. PT‐symmetric nodal lines (NLs) persist under T‐breaking, protected by the combination of SG and P symmetry. When considering spin‐orbit coupling, the SG‐protected NL will split into Weyl points, which will also induce anomalous transport phenomena arising from ...

Coupling of Solar Reflective Cool Roofing Solutions with Sub-Surface Phase Change Materials (PCM) to Avoid Condensation and Biological Growth

open access: yesEnvironmental Science and Sustainable Development, 2016
Cool roofs are effective solutions to counter the overheating of building roofs, inhabited spaces below and urban areas in which buildings are located thanks to their capability of reflecting solar radiation.
