Urban Tree Growth and Drought Responses Show Evidence of Climate Resilience
Global Change Biology, Volume 31, Issue 6, June 2025.Urban trees face increasing risks from climate change, including drought and heatwaves, which threaten their growth and survival. By studying 10 tree species across seven Australian cities, we found that local climate strongly influences tree growth, and that some species are well adapted to urban climates.
