Implementation of all previous methods for reliability improvement needs to have enough information about condition of the converter. This is the topic of the last chapter of this book. Condition monitoring is the process of monitoring a parameter of condition in machinery (vibration, temperature etc.), in order to identify a significant change which ...

A reference architecture for condition monitoring
2015 IEEE World Conference on Factory Communication Systems (WFCS), 2015Condition monitoring and diagnostic systems support the operators of machines and plants. By these means, machine operators can run their plants efficiently, perform effective preventive maintenance and supply superordinate information systems with valid machine data. This paper describes the VDMA reference architecture for condition monitoring systems.

A Safety Condition Monitoring System
2015In any safety argument, belief in the top-level goal depends upon a variety of assumptions that derive from the system development process, the operating context, and the system itself. If an assumption is false or becomes false at any point during the lifecycle, the rationale for belief in the safety goal might be invalidated and the safety of the ...

On the design of monitors with priority conditions
ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 1984Hoare[1] introduced the monitor as a tool for structuring the design of concurrent systems such as operating systems. He roposed the use of "priority conditions" to facillitate certain types of scheduling. However in his proposal there are no provisions for allowing a "customer" of the monitor to inquire as to the status of a condition.
