On condition numbers of symmetric and nonsymmetric domain decomposition methods
Using oblique projections and angles between subspaces we write condition number estimates for abstract nonsymmetric domain decomposition methods. In particular, we consider a restricted additive method for the Poisson equation and write a bound for the ...

Quantum Algorithms for Boolean Equation Solving and Quantum Algebraic Attack on Cryptosystems [PDF]
Decision of whether a Boolean equation system has a solution is an NPC problem and finding a solution is NP hard. In this paper, we present a quantum algorithm to decide whether a Boolean equation system FS has a solution and compute one if FS does have ...

A Spherical Plasma Dynamo Experiment
We propose a plasma experiment to be used to investigate fundamental properties of astrophysical dynamos. The highly conducting, fast-flowing plasma will allow experimenters to explore systems with magnetic Reynolds numbers an order of magnitude larger ...

Condition Numbers of Random Triangular Matrices [PDF]
It is shown that the 2-norm condition number of a lower triangular matrix of dimension \(n\), whose entries come from an independent normal variable of mean 0 and variance 1, grows exponentially with \(n\). This is in striking contrast to the linear growth of the condition number of random dense matrices.

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Conditioning Theory for
The conditioning theory of the ML-weighted least squares and ML-weighted pseudoinverse problems is explored in this article. We begin by introducing three types of condition numbers for the ML-weighted pseudoinverse problem: normwise, mixed, and ...

On (k,p)-Fibonacci numbers and matrices [PDF]
In this paper, some relations between the powers of any matrices X satisfying the equation Xᵏ-pXᵏ⁻¹-(p-1)X-I=0 and (k,p)-Fibonacci numbers are established with ...
