REGIONAL GROWTH DETERMINANTS IN UKRAINE: PANEL DATA ESTIMATES

open access: yesActa Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Oeconomica, 2014
In this paper, determinants of real regional per capita growth were estimated using a balanced panel data set consisting of 26 Ukrainian regions for the period from 2002 to 2012.

Nitrogen‐Boosted H2O2 Production of Arginine‐Polyphenol Nanozyme Drives Oxidative Eustress for Hair Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PEA nanoenzymes are assembled from L‐arginine and EGCG. The nitrogen element in arginine enhances the thermodynamic feasibility of H2O2 production through PEA's oxygen reduction catalysis, enabling nitrogen‐dependent H2O2 release. Intradermal delivery of PEA via microneedles promotes efficient H2O2 synthesis, thereby stimulating regrowth in telogen ...

The evolution of real disparities in Portugal among the NUTS III regions. An empirical analysis based on the convergence approach. [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of this paper is to explain regional convergence in Portugal, at Nuts III level, in terms of per capita income and productivity. In doing so, we employ an alternative estimation approach based on panel data analysis that allows for individual ...

Structural Information in Two-Dimensional Patterns: Entropy Convergence and Excess Entropy

open access: yes, 2002
We develop information-theoretic measures of spatial structure and pattern in more than one dimension. As is well known, the entropy density of a two-dimensional configuration can be efficiently and accurately estimated via a converging sequence of ...

Machine Learning for Accelerating Energy Materials Discovery: Bridging Quantum Accuracy with Computational Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights how machine learning accelerates sustainable energy materials discovery by integrating quantum‐accurate interatomic potentials with property prediction frameworks. The evolution from statistical methods to physics‐informed neural networks is examined, showcasing applications across batteries, catalysts, and photovoltaics ...

Conditional β-Convergence in APEC Economies, 1960–2020: Empirical Evidence from the Pooled Mean Group Estimator

open access: yesEconometrics
The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of conditional variables—physical capital, population, and Total Factor Productivity (TFP)—on the economic convergence of the member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum over ...

Digital Twin of Solid Oxide Electrochemical Cells: From 3D Microstructure Reconstruction to Multiphysics Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review outlines the implementation of digital twin frameworks for solid oxide electrochemical cells (SOCs), encompassing 3D microstructure reconstruction, quantitative morphological analysis, and microstructure‐resolved multiphysics modeling. Emphasis is placed on recent advances that position digital twins as powerful tools for microstructure ...

Martingale Convergence of Generalized Conditional Expectations

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 1993
A martingale convergence theorem for generalized conditional expectations is considered. It is, in its essence, a theorem on the convergence of the modular structures associated to a decreasing (increasing) sequence of von Neumann algebras, to the corresponding modular structures associated to the intersection (closure of the union) of the given ...

Prediction of Structural Stability of Layered Oxide Cathode Materials: Combination of Machine Learning and Ab Initio Thermodynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, we developed a phase‐stability predictor by combining machine learning and ab initio thermodynamics approaches, and identified the key factors determining the favorable phase for a given composition. Specifically, a lower TM ionic potential, higher Na content, and higher mixing entropy favor the O3 phase.
