On the convergence condition and convergence time of BGP
Computer Communications, 2011The Internet composes of thousands of Autonomous System (ASes). The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is the standard protocol for sharing inter-domain routing information. Unlike OSPF and IS-IS, BGP allows an AS to use a lot of attributes to express semantic rich routing policies that are consistent with its desired economic, business, performance, and ...

On convergence conditions for rendezvous
2007 46th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2007In this paper we analyze known conditions on control policies, which guarantee convergence in the multi-agent rendezvous problem. We discuss two examples which suggest a way to relax the continuity condition and to extend the class of control policies that may solve the problem.

Convergence of Conditional Expectation Operators
Theory of Probability & Its Applications, 1964Two concepts of convergence for nets of $\sigma $-rings are defined for every Orlicz space $\mathfrak{L}_M^ * $, which imply essential, respectively, stochastic convergence of the corresponding conditional expectations of any random variable in $\mathfrak{L}_M^ * $.

IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2008
In this paper, we introduce a new notion of conditional converge cast (CCC), by adding the conditional property to converge cast. A CCC protocol with predicate Q is a three-party protocol which involves two senders S0 and S1 and a receiver R. S0 owns a secret x and a message m0, so does S1 with y and m1.

Convergence Conditions for Ascent Methods
SIAM Review, 1969Liberal conditions on the steps of a “descent” method for finding extrema of a function are given; most known results are special cases.

On conditional weak convergence
Journal of Theoretical Probability, 1989Technical issues of convergence of conditional distributions are discussed. The classical modes of convergence for conditional distributions are a) uniform convergence, b) convergence in probability, and c) almost sure convergence, each with respect to the conditioning variable.

A NECESSARY CONDITION FOR THE CONVERGENCE OF THE FOURIER TRANSFORM
KIBERNETYKA TA SYSTEMNYI ANALIZThe authors show that the Fourier transform plays an important role in many applied problems of system analysis. Its properties are analyzed, which directly affect the efficiency of using the optimal decision theory in the problems. The necessary condition for the convergence of the Fourier transform is established, which provides a powerful tool for ...

On the Necessity of the Conditional Lindeberg Condition for Normal Convergence of Martingales
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2002It has been known that the conditional Lindeberg condition and the fact that the conditional variance of a martingale is equal to 1 imply the weak convergence of the martingale to the standard normal law. It was not known whether the conditional Lindeberg condition is necessary or not until \textit{A. G. Sholomitskij} [Theory Probab. Appl. 43, No.
