Already Perfect: Language Users Access the Pragmatic Meanings of Conditionals First

Open Mind
Conditional statements often have two interpretations. For instance, the statement, “If you mow the lawn, you will receive $5”, might be understood to mean that mowing the lawn is just one possible way to earn $5 or, more strongly, that mowing the lawn

Open Information and Computer Integrated Technologies
To ensure manufacturability, cooperation, and an acceptable level of cost of aircraft manufacturing and operating, structural and technological sectioning is performed at different levels of a structure: parts, assemblies, units, bays etc.

Conditions for equivalence between sequentiality and subgame perfection

Economic Theory, 2007
The authors study equilibrium properties of finite extensive form games \(\Gamma\) with perfect recall. In their interesting paper, they analyze the following sets: subgame perfect equilibria (SPE(\(\Gamma\))), sequential equilibria (SQE(\(\Gamma\))), subgame perfect equilibrium outcomes (SPEO(\(\Gamma\))) and sequential equilibrium outcomes (SQEO ...

Condition for perfect resonant antireflection in solar cells

2015 IEEE 42nd Photovoltaic Specialist Conference (PVSC), 2015
Antireflection coatings are necessary components in solar cells. It has recently been experimentally demonstrated that a periodic array of resonant subwavelength objects placed at an air-dielectric interface can significantly reduce reflection. We introduce the theoretical condition for complete reflection cancellation in this resonant antireflection ...

Bell's locality condition confronting perfect anti-correlations

Physics Letters A, 1999
Abstract We show that Local Realistic Theories, defined as obeying the Bells's locality condition, cannot satisfy the prefect anti-correlations without at the same time maximally violating rotational symmetry at the hidden variable level. We examine whether the rotational symmetry can be restored after the statistical average.

Strong Nonlinear Correlations, Conditional Entropy and Perfect Estimation

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2007
This paper deals with parameter estimation in which measurements subjected to highly correlated noise allow for very accurate estimation. For linear regression with normally distributed noise, this generically occurs when the noise becomes highly linearly correlated.

Labor Market in Conditions of Perfect Competition [PDF]

open access: possibleRomanian Statistical Review Supplement, 2012
Labor market, as any market, is driven by competition, as a component of its structure. The creative and innovative capaticies and competences of people enter into trial, and they will be encouraged to seek better professional training, to develop their talent and skills, to promote innovation. Competition selects and orders the values and competencies,
