Bayesian definition of random sequences with respect to conditional probabilities

open access: yes, 2022
We study Martin-L\"{o}f random (ML-random) points on computable probability measures on sample and parameter spaces (Bayes models). We consider four variants of conditional random sequences with respect to the conditional distributions: two of them are ...

Quantum teleportation and Grover's algorithm without the wavefunction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In the same way as the quantum no-cloning theorem and quantum key distribution in two preceding papers, entanglement-assisted quantum teleportation and Grover's search algorithm are generalized by transferring them to an abstract setting, including usual

Using Bayesian Optimization to Increase the Efficiency of III‐V Multijunction Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) modeling is crucial for designing complex optoelectronic devices like III‐V multijunction solar cells. Bayesian optimization is proposed as a robust method to address challenges in optimizing costly black‐box TCAD solvers.

Copulas in Classical Probability Sense

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2020
Copulas are simply equivalent structures to joint distribution functions. Then, we propose modified structures that depend on classical probability space and concepts with respect to copulas.

Reliable AI Platform for Monitoring BCI Caused Brain Injury and Providing Real‐Time Protection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BrainGuard enables real‐time and interpretable assessment of brain injury caused by brain computer interface (BCI). Using feature‐based Gaussian process (GP) emulators trained on limited biomechanical data, it efficiently predicts full‐field strain and constructs patient‐specific digital brain twins to support clinical diagnosis and long‐term BCI ...

Fisher's information measures and truncated normal distributions (II)

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2003
The aim of this paper is to give some properties for the Fisher information measure when a random variable \(X\) follows a truncated probability distribution.

Mitochondrial Calcium Uniporter Drives Chemoresistance in Pancreatic Cancer via Glutathione‐Mediated Stemness Maintenance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PDAC has a poor prognosis due to chemoresistance. We revealed that MCU upregulation is associated with chemoresistance and stemness in PDAC. MCU‐mediated Ca2+ influx induced ER stress, activating the PERK‐ATF4/NRF2 axis to enhance PSAT1/SLC711 expression and glutathione synthesis, reducing ROS and maintaining stemness.

Cyclonic damage assessment of rural houses for the east coastal region of India

open access: yesProgress in Disaster Science, 2022
Tropical cyclones are one of the most frequently occurring natural hazards in the coastal regions of India that cause extensive damage to life as well as property. Undertaking damage assessment of houses in a cyclone-prone region is important for cyclone

The deployment of conditional probability distributions for death time estimation [PDF]

open access: yesForensic Science International, 2011
The temperature based algorithm known as the Nomogram Method for the determination of a 95.45% death-time interval can be combined with non-temperature based (NTB) findings in the so called Compound Method (CM). The impact of such integration on the probability yielded by the resulting interval has however neither been described nor exploited.

Learning a Generative Model for Fusing Infrared and Visible Images via Conditional Generative Adversarial Network with Dual Discriminators

open access: yesInternational Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2019
In this paper, we propose a new end-to-end model, called dual-discriminator conditional generative adversarial network (DDcGAN), for fusing infrared and visible images of different resolutions.
