On maximum of Gaussian process with unique maximum point of its variance [PDF]
Gaussian random processes which variances reach theirs maximum values at unique points are considered. Exact asymptotic behaviors of probabilities of large absolute maximums of theirs trajectories have been evaluated using Double Sum Method under the widest possible conditions.

Decomposing The Conditional Variance of Cross-Country Output [PDF]
A well established fact in the growth empirics literature is the increasing variation in output per capita across countries. This phenomena however does not adequately describe changes in the distribution of output since it does not account for changes ...

In the context of chronic hyperglycemia, a DDR is initiated, leading to the pathological activation of DNA‐PKcs in the diabetic heart. This activated DNA‐PKcs directly interacts with and phosphorylates YAP1 at Thr226, thereby increasing the nuclear expression of YAP1.

Two seemingly paradoxical results in linear models: the variance inflation factor and the analysis of covariance [PDF]
A result from a standard linear model course is that the variance of the ordinary least squares (OLS) coefficient of a variable will never decrease when including additional covariates. The variance inflation factor (VIF) measures the increase of the variance.

Modelling the Density of Inflation Using Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity, Skewness, and Kurtosis Models [PDF]
The paper aimed at modelling the density of inflation based on time-varying conditional variance, skewness and kurtosis model developed by Leon, Rubio, and Serna (2005) who model higher-order moments as GARCH-type processes by applying a Gram-Charlier ...

CPL‐Diff: A Diffusion Model for De Novo Design of Functional Peptide Sequences with Fixed Length
This study presents a diffusion model for generating functional peptide sequence lengths using mask control. The model can generate antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiviral peptides with specific lengths on demand. The model learns the structure of peptides better and generates peptides with better physicochemical properties, and the model has good ...

Cross-Sectional Aggregation and Persistence in Conditional Variance [PDF]
This paper explores the interactions between cross-sectional aggregation and persistence of volatility shocks. We derive the ARMA-GARCH representation that linear aggregates of ARMA processes with GARCH errors admit, and establish conditions under which ...

Genetics‐Based Targeting Strategies for Precise Neuromodulation
In this Review, the fundamental principles and implementation protocols of genetics‐based precision neuromodulation are first introduced. Then, wireless and low‐invasive strategies based on nano‐transducing materials are highlighted, along with a dissection and analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of representative studies.

Non Linear Moving-Average Conditional Heteroskedasticity [PDF]
Ever since the appearance of the ARCH model (Engle 1982a), an impressive array of variance specifications belonging to the same class of models has emerged.
