Physical conditions.

2011
The physical environment of an animal is sometimes altered if it is found to cause problems for animal welfare. These changes are commonly quite specific (making changes to space, food, water, aspects of housing design such as flooring, or to other environmental factors such as air quality) and may be effective in preventing injuries or disease ...

Indicative conditionals

Dialogue and Universalism, 1995
Examples of indicative conditionals are ‘If it rained, then the match was cancelled’ and ‘If Alex plays, Carlton will win’. The contrast is with subjunctive or counterfactual conditionals, such as ‘If it had rained, then the match would have been cancelled’, and categoricals, such as ‘It will rain’.

Expected Conditioning

IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis, 1985
The author presents a stochastic analysis for condition numbers of square matrices. The expected condition analysis has desirable properties under scaling transformations, which enables the equilibration of a matrix to be carried out. An optimal scaling enables the best conditioned of all the possible equilibrated matrices to be determined.

Conditional Risk

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2017
We present a new direct methodology to study conditional risk, that is, the extra return compensation for time-variation in risk. We show theoretically that the conditional part of the CAPM can be captured by augmenting the standard market model with a conditional-risk factor, which is a specific market timing strategy. Both in the U.S.

Conditional Probability

International Statistical Review / Revue Internationale de Statistique, 1985
Based on the notion of a protocol the evaluation of a protocol is introduced, which leads by means of axioms to some well-known properties of conditional expectations. In this framework a version of the law of large numbers is presented. Furthermore, an interesting justification of the notion of (elementary) conditional probabilities is given by means ...

Gastric Conditioning

2000
The etiology of esophagogastric anastomotic leaks is often multifactorial. However, occult ischemia of the gastric fundus is an important cause. In gastric conditioning, preliminary partial gastric devascularization is carried out 2-3 weeks before construction of the esophagogastric anastomoses. Gastric vascularity improves over this time.
