High voltage isolation transformer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A high voltage isolation transformer is provided with primary and secondary coils separated by discrete electrostatic shields from the surfaces of insulating spools on which the coils are wound.

Investigating the thermal stability of 1-3 piezoelectric composite transducers by varying the thermal conductivity and glass transition temperature of the polymeric filler material [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The thermal behaviour of a number of 1-3 piezoelectric composite transducers is discussed. In particular, devices manufactured from a polymer filler with a relatively high glass to rubber transition temperature (T-g), and from polymer systems with ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

The role of conductive dopants in polymer cholesteric liquid crystals

open access: yesMacedonian Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, 2014
Variety of conductive dopants were used to modify the electric properties of polymer cholesteric liquid crystals. Different types of carbon blacks, carbon nanotubes, as well as metallic particles were used as conductive dopants in this work.

Tactile Sensors Based on Conductive Polymers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper presents results from a selection of tactile sensors that have been designed and fabricated. These sensors are based on a common approach that consists in placing a sheet of piezoresistive material on the top of a set of electrodes.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

MOFs/PVA hybrid membranes with enhanced mechanical and ion-conductive properties

open access: yese-Polymers, 2021
Nanomaterials have been treated as effective dopants for enhancing mechanical and ion-conductive properties of polymer membranes. Among various nanomaterials, metal–organic frameworks are attracting enormous attention from researchers because of their ...

Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Slow positron beam generator for lifetime studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
A slow positron beam generator uses a conductive source residing between two test films. Moderator pieces are placed next to the test film on the opposite side of the conductive source.

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.
