Conductivity and photoconductivity of conducting polymers

Physica Scripta, 1992
A review is presented of the state of the art of conducting polymers. Special attention is given to the high electrical conductivity of highly ordered doped polyacetylene, to the attempts to reproduce σ-values above 105 S/cm, and to efforts to correlate the electrical conductivity with other physical parameters (European Brite/Euram Project HICOPOL).

Solid Halide Electrolytes with High Lithium‐Ion Conductivity for Application in 4 V Class Bulk‐Type All‐Solid‐State Batteries

Advances in Materials, 2018
New lithium halide solid‐electrolyte materials, Li3YCl6 and Li3YBr6, are found to exhibit high lithium‐ion conductivity, high deformability, and high chemical and electrochemical stability, which are required properties for all‐solid‐state battery (ASSB)

Conducting Polymers: Electrical Conductivity

2007
Abstract : While undoped polymers are insulators, doped conducting polymers have conductivities comparable to conventional metals and semiconductors despite their polymer chain structure. Models for the doping induced insulator-metal transition and the metallic conductivity of conducting polymers are introduced.

Neuroid Conduction and the Evolution of Conducting Tissues

The Quarterly Review of Biology, 1970
Neuroid conduction, as here defined, refers to the propagation of electrical events in the membranes of non-nervous, nonmuscular cells. Examples from protistants, plants, and animals are described. In the dinoflagellate Noctiluca, propagated membrane depolarizations accompany the spread of the luminescent response, and local electrical changes are ...

Conductance of a Single Conducting Polyaniline Nanowire

Acta Physico-Chimica Sinica, 2005
The combination of template synthesis method of nanowire/nanotube and conductive atomic force microscopy (C-AFM) is an efficient way that can be used to probe the conductivity of single one-dimension nanomaterial and its array. This communication reports the conductivity of an electrochemically prepared single polyaniline(PANI) nanowire determined ...

Governing the conduct of conduct: are restraints inevitable?

Journal of Advanced Nursing, 2002
Background.  The purpose of this article is to provide an interpretation of how restraint use is maintained and legitimized despite negative reports on its efficacy and questions about its ethicality. My research examined the use of restraint on a patient requiring care in an acute teaching hospital in Australia.

Conductive mechanisms in electrical conductive adhesives with isotropical electrical conductivity

2011 IEEE 17th International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME), 2011
Electrical conductivity of electrically conductive adhesives is controlled with three mechanisms. These mechanisms are described — a phonon-electron interaction, a constriction mechanism and a tunnel mechanism. If the phonon-electron and constriction mechanisms dominate; the temperature dependence of resistivity is positive and linear, and the ...
