Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

Conductance renormalization and conductivity of a multi-subband Tomonaga-Luttinger model

open access: yes, 2001
We studied the conductance renormalization and conductivity of multi-subband Tomonaga-Luttinger models with inter-subband interactions. We found that, as in single-band systems, the conductance of a multi-subband system with an arbitrary number of ...

Psychosocial Outcomes in Patients With Endocrine Tumor Syndromes: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The combination of disease manifestations, the familial burden, and varying penetrance of endocrine tumor syndromes (ETSs) is unique. This review aimed to portray and summarize available data on psychosocial outcomes in patients with ETSs and explore gaps and opportunities for future research and care.

Thermal Conductivity Measurements of Wet Paper [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
The thermal conductivity of wet paper mats was studied as a function of moisture content and porosity. The conductivity measurements were conducted with a steady-state hot plate apparatus.

Anisotropic conductivity of doped graphene due to short-range non-symmetric scattering

open access: yes, 2010
The conductivity of doped graphene is considered taking into account scattering by short-range nonsymmetric defects, when the longitudinal and transverse components of conductivity tensor appear to be different.

Investigation on electrical conductivity and dielectric property of La0.8Pb0.2(Fe,Ti)0.5O3 ceramic nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Dielectrics, 2019
The modification of the structure lanthanum orthoferrites (LaFeO3) to obtain ceramic materials with enhanced structural, optical, and electrical properties constitutes an active area of research. The preparation of La0.8Pb0.2(Fe, Ti)0.5O3 (LPFTO) ceramic

Nutritional and Behavioral Intervention for Long‐Term Childhood Acute Leukemia Survivors With Metabolic Syndrome

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a common complication in survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic and myeloid leukemia (AL), and a major risk factor for premature cardiovascular disease, type‐2‐diabetes, and metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).

Chiral Magnetic conductivity

open access: yes, 2009
Gluon field configurations with nonzero topological charge generate chirality, inducing P- and CP-odd effects. When a magnetic field is applied to a system with nonzero chirality, an electromagnetic current is generated along the direction of the ...

Prediction of the Thermal Conductivity of Beds Which Contain Polymer Coated Metal Particles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Structural parts of ceramics or metals can, in principle, be made by laser sintering polymer coated ceramic or metal powders, followed by conventional methods for removing the binder and sintering in ovens.
