Conductor

Proceedings of the 4th International Workshop on Large Scale Distributed Systems and Middleware, 2010
Cloud computing enables customers to access virtually unlimited resources on demand and without any fixed upfront cost. However, the commoditization of computing resources imposes new challenges in how to manage them: customers of cloud services are no longer restricted to the resources they own, but instead choose from a variety of different services ...

Polymers as conductors and semi‐conductors

Polymer Engineering & Science, 1961
AbstractMobile ions can be introduced thereby increasing the conductivity, with a limiting operating temperature range of 200°–250°C. Conductivity can be increased with the formation of conjugatd double bonds. Polymeric compounds may be synthesized with metallocyclic groups, where an atom of metal is bound to nitrogen atoms in a heterocyclic system in ...

Conductors and conductor protection

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Part II: Applications and Industry, 1958
IT is a purpose of this paper to note the principles underlying the establishment of current-carrying capacities of electric conductors including those for air-borne applications. Another purpose is to determine the concepts regulating the requirements for the protection of the conductors.

Semi-Conductors, Conductors and Insulators

Technical Education and Industrial Training, 1960
The basis of most semi-conductor devices is the p-n junction. Here p-type material is brought into contact with n-type material by a suitable process so that between the two types of material we have a zone of transition — the depletion layer. This layer spans the region where purely p-type properties change to purely n-type.

From organic conductors to bio‐conductors

Macromolecular Symposia, 1996
AbstractTwo major categories of organic solids are known to offer the prospect of electrical conduction. One of them consists of charge‐transfer complexes such as BEDT‐TTF salts. A large number of studies on charge‐transfer complexes have been carried out and their conductivity ranges from semiconductor to superconductor.

The Base Change Conductor and the Artin Conductor

2016
In this chapter, we assume that k is algebraically closed. We will compare the base change conductor of the Jacobian variety of a K-curve C to the Artin conductor of C and other invariants of the curve, assuming that the genus of C is 1 or 2.

The conductor

2009
Abstract The repertoire of every orchestra or troupe consists of pieces that have been its mainstay for years as well as relatively new additions. Likewise, the products manufactured by a company consist of older lines of products and relatively new ones.
