Lessons Learned From a Delayed‐Start Trial of Modafinil for Freezing of Gait in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Freezing of gait (FOG) in people with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) is debilitating and has limited treatments. Modafinil modulates beta/gamma band activity in the pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN), like PPN deep brain stimulation. We therefore tested the hypothesis that Modafinil would improve FOG in PwPD.

ABSTRACT Objective To determine the concentration of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma in Alexander disease (AxD) and whether GFAP levels are predictive of disease phenotypes. Methods CSF and plasma were collected (longitudinally when available) from AxD participants and non‐AxD controls.

Herein, environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) is discussed as a powerful extension of conventional SEM for life sciences. By combining high‐resolution imaging with variable pressure and humidity, ESEM allows the analysis of untreated biological materials, supports in situ monitoring of hydration‐driven changes, and advances the functional ...

On J-Cone Metric Spaces over a Banach Algebra and Some Fixed-Point Theorems
In the present paper, we define J-cone metric spaces over a Banach algebra which is a generalization of Gpb-metric space (Gpb-MS) and cone metric space (CMS) over a Banach algebra.

Additive manufacturing (AM) allows great geometric freedom for lightweight components. As parts are progressively optimized exploiting potentials in AM leading in smaller material cross sections, high pressure solution treating and aging (STA) treatments show an enormous potential for strongly improving material properties.

Coupled Coincidence Points in Partially Ordered Cone Metric Spaces with a c-Distance
Cho et al. (2012) proved some coupled fixed point theorems in partially ordered cone metric spaces by using the concept of a c-distance in cone metric spaces. In this paper, we prove some coincidence point theorems in partially ordered cone metric spaces

In this paper, we introduce the notion of graphical cone metric spaces over Banach algebra and prove some fixed point results for a particular type of contractive mappings defined on such spaces.

Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

Fredholm integral equation in composed-cone metric spaces
The current paper introduces a novel generalization of cone metric spaces called type I and type II composed cone metric spaces. Therefore, examples of a type I and type II composed cone metric space, which is not a cone metric space, are given.

Copper‐based composites enhanced with carbon feature convenient mechanical properties and favorable electric conductivity. Processing via deformation and thermomechanical treatments can introduce advantageous microstructures further enhancing their performance. Herein, copper–graphene powder‐based composites are directly consolidated via rotary swaging
