On partial metric spaces and partial cone metric spaces

open access: yesHacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, 2017
It this article we shall show that partial metric spaces and partial cone metric spaces are quasi-uniformizable and hence quasi-metrizable. Finally, an application to the Banach’s fixed point theorem will be presented in this context.

A fixed point theorem for uniformly locally contractive mappings in a C-chainable cone rectangular metric space [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2011
Recently, Azam, Arshad and Beg [ Banach contraction principle on cone rectangular metric spaces, Appl. Anal. Discrete Math. 2009] introduced the notion of cone rectangular metric spaces by replacing the triangular inequality of a cone metric space by a ...

A new notion of angle between three points in a metric space

open access: yes, 2013
We give a new notion of angle in general metric spaces; more precisely, given a triple a points $p,x,q$ in a metric space $(X,d)$, we introduce the notion of angle cone ${\angle_{pxq}}$ as being an interval ${\angle_{pxq}}:=[\angle^-_{pxq},\angle^+_{pxq}]

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Remarks on Some Recent Fixed Point Results on Quaternion-Valued Metric Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
Very recently, Ahmed et al. introduced the notion of quaternion-valued metric as a generalization of metric and proved a common fixed point theorem in the context of quaternion-valued metric space.

The Extended Cone b-Metric-like Spaces over Banach Algebra and Some Applications

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this paper, we introduce the structure of extended cone b-metric-like spaces over Banach algebra as a generalization of cone b-metric-like spaces over Banach algebra.

Order-unit-metric spaces

open access: yes, 2013
We study the concept of cone metric space in the context of ordered vector spaces by setting up a general and natural framework for it.Comment: 10 ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

COUPLED FIXED POINT THEOREMS OF INTEGRAL TYPE MAPPINGS IN CONE METRIC SPACES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we prove some coupled fixed point theorems in cone metric spaces. Furthermore, we introduce and prove the integral version of coupled fixed point theorems in cone metric spaces.
