Ideal Theory of Right Cones and Associated Rings [PDF]
Right cones are left cancellative monoids (with zero) such that for any two elements one is a right multiple of the other. The authors study the ideal theory of these monoids in terms of prime and completely prime ideals and apply the general theory to right chain rings.

Green-Schwarz superstring from type IIB matrix model
We construct Green-Schwarz (GS) light-cone closed superstring theory from type IIB matrix model. A GS light-cone string action is derived from two dimensional N=8 U(n) noncommutative Yang-Mills (NCYM) by identifying noncommutative scale with string scale.

Design of Partial Mueller-Matrix Polarimeters for Application-Specific Sensors
At a particular frequency, most materials and objects of interest exhibit a polarization signature, or Mueller matrix, of limited dimensionality, with many matrix elements either negligibly small or redundant due to symmetry.

𝐾-theory of cones of smooth varieties
Let R R be the homogeneous coordinate ring of a smooth projective variety X X over a field k k of characteristic 0. We calculate the K K -theory of R R in terms of the geometry of the projective embedding of X X . In particular, if X X

Some existence theorems of the positive solutions and the multiple positive solutions for singular and nonsingular systems of nonlinear fourth-order boundary value problems are proved by using topological degree theory and cone theory.

BMS algebra from residual gauge invariance in light-cone gravity
We analyze the residual gauge freedom in gravity, in four dimensions, in the light-cone gauge, in a formulation where unphysical fields are integrated out.

Duality and Light Cone Symmetries of the Equations of Motion
The matrix theory description of the discrete light cone quantization of $M$ theory on a $T^{2}$ is studied. In terms of its super Yang- Mills description, we identify symmetries of the equations of motion corresponding to independent rescalings of one ...

Macro and micro coupling analysis of cone penetration test: methodology and application
Although cone penetration test (CPT) is an in-situ test method to obtain conventional geotechnical properties accurately, CPT data cannot be directly linked to macro constitutive model parameters. The principal reason is that the comprehensive studies on

Defects in conformal field theory [PDF]
A bstractWe discuss consequences of the breaking of conformal symmetry by a flat or spherical extended operator. We adapt the embedding formalism to the study of correlation functions of symmetric traceless tensors in the presence of the defect.

AbstractThis survey deals with the aspects of archimedian partially ordered finite-dimensional real vector spaces and order preserving linear maps which do not involve spectral theory. The first section sketches some of the background of entrywise nonnegative matrices and of systems of inequalities which motivate much of the current investigations. The
