The configurations (13_3)

open access: yesThe Art of Discrete and Applied Mathematics, 2021
Summary: There are 2036 configurations \((13_3)\). Here we establish that all of them are geometric; moreover, all have rational coordinatizations in the plane. This supports Grünbaum's conjecture that a geometric \((n_3)\) configuration always has a rational coordinatization.

Health‐Related Social Needs in Children With Sickle Cell Disease Are Associated With Worse Health‐Related Quality of Life

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with sickle cell disease (SCD) face multiple acute and chronic medical complications that may impact their quality of life as reported by patients themselves. Health‐related social needs (HRSNs), such as food and housing insecurity, are common in people with SCD, but the association between HRSNs and patient‐reported ...

Application of an efficient fluid simulation method based on IBM and AMR in complex fluid–structure interaction [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
Currently, the immersed boundary method (IBM) is widely used in fluid–structure interaction simulations. However, due to the fact that the mesh used in IBM is often fixed, when the motion or deformation range of the object is large, it causes significant

Irreducibility of configurations

open access: yesArs Mathematica Contemporanea, 2015
In a paper from 1886, Martinetti enumerated small $v_3$-configurations. One of his tools was a construction that permits to produce a $(v+1)_3$-configuration from a $v_3$-configuration. He called configurations that were not constructible in this way irreducible configurations.

Feasibility and Safety of Somato‐Cognitive Coordination Therapy for Cerebellar Ataxia Following Pediatric Brain Tumor Treatment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cerebellar ataxia after pediatric brain tumor treatment can cause persistent gait, balance, and speech impairment, yet no established rehabilitation strategy exists. Somato‐cognitive coordination therapy (SCCT) is a virtual reality–guided intervention designed to promote sensorimotor integration through visually constrained reaching

Guidelines for Pediatric Radiotherapy Simulation: A Report From the Children's Oncology Group Radiation Oncology Discipline

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric radiation therapy presents unique challenges compared to adult treatments, including those of immobilization, potential need for sedation, and the critical importance of accurate, reproducible positioning. Additionally, heightened attention to imaging doses is necessary to minimize long‐term toxicity in survivors.
