Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Finding Device Driver Bugs With Fuzzing PCIe Configuration Input

open access: yesIEEE Access
Device drivers play a vital role in enabling communication between the operating system and hardware, yet their elevated privileges and interaction with untrusted inputs make them a frequent source of security vulnerabilities. While numerous studies have

Checkpoint blockade and the stem‐like T cell trade‐off

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Stem‐like T cells are key to the success of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1) blockade, as they sustain long‐term anti‐tumor response by continuously generating effector CD8+ T cells. However, how these cells are maintained in cancer is not fully understood. Hor et al.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Configuration of Green–Blue–Grey Spaces for Efficient Cooling of Urban Physical and Perceptual Thermal Environments

open access: yesLand
Blue and green spaces are well-known for their benefits in improving urban thermal environments. However, the optimal configuration of green, blue, and grey spaces (GBGSs) for the physical and mental health of urban residents remains unclear.
