On the support of the Ashtekar-Lewandowski measure
We show that the Ashtekar-Isham extension of the classical configuration space of Yang-Mills theories (i.e. the moduli space of connections) is (topologically and measure-theoretically) the projective limit of a family of finite dimensional spaces ...

A particular class of real manifolds (Hermitian spaces) naturally model smooth, possibly complex n-spaces. We show how to realize such a space as a restriction of a super-smooth stack using a compass. We also discuss the classical relationship between iterated loop spaces and the configuration space of a particle.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

BPHZ renormalization in configuration space for the A4-model
Recent developments for BPHZ renormalization performed in configuration space are reviewed and applied to the model of a scalar quantum field with quartic self-interaction.

Phase transitions as topology changes in configuration space: an exact result
The phase transition in the mean-field XY model is shown analytically to be related to a topological change in its configuration space. Such a topology change is completely described by means of Morse theory allowing a computation of the Euler ...

Mod p truncated configuration spaces
The author studies the space \(E^{d}_{J}(X)\) of configurations of ordered \(n\)-tuples of unordered \(d\)-tuples of points in \(X\). The n-tuples satisfy a set of intersection conditions specified by \(J\). For example one result asserts the natural homotopy equivalence of \(\lim_{d\to \infty}E^{d}_{J}(\mathbb{R}^k)\) and \(\Omega_{0}^{k}\bigcup_{d ...

Wasserstein Distance on Configuration Space [PDF]
We investigate here the optimal transportation problem on configuration space for the quadratic cost. It is shown that, as usual, provided that the corresponding Wasserstein is finite, there exists one unique optimal measure and that this measure is supported by the graph of the derivative (in the sense of the Malliavin calculus) of a ``concave'' (in a

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
