Tri‐Functional Electrocatalysis for Zinc–Air Battery Coupled Water Splitting: A Catalyst‐Electrode‐Device‐System Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review establishes a catalyst–electrode–device–system framework for tri‐functional HER/OER/ORR electrocatalysis that couples water splitting with Zn–air batteries. Five catalyst families are covered: noble‐metal, metal‐based, single‐atom, heterostructure, and metal‐free systems.

Assessment of Printability of Concrete based on Packing of Aggregates [PDF]

open access: yes
The fluidity of concrete is a key parameter that determines the printability of the mixture in an extrusion-based printing process. The printability of concrete is influenced by the relative proportions of aggregate and paste, paste rheology and the ...

Predictable and Scalable Analog Matrix–Vector Multiplication in Memristor Crossbars via Closed‐Form Wire‐Resistance Compensation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Wire resistance and sneak paths severely compromise the performance of large memristor crossbars. A predictive closed‐form distributed line‐resistance model, combined with a fourmatrix geometry‐averaging algorithm, eliminates these parasitic limitations.

Experimental Evaluation on Blast Resistance of Reinforced Concrete Structures under Partially Confined Explosion

open access: yesInternational Journal of Concrete Structures and Materials
As the risk of accidental explosions at ammunition storage or hydrogen charging station increases in populated area, it is needed to design the facilities against blast loading, particularly subjected to partially confined explosion.

Bond behavior of confined rebar in recycled brick aggregate concrete using bending pullout test

open access: yesHeliyon
The pertinence of recycled brick aggregate (RBA) in concrete structures largely depends on their bonding ability with the rebars. Considering the practical detailing of concrete structures where main rebars are usually confined by stirrups, this study ...

Safety of Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Evaluation and Perspective from Component Materials to Cells, Modules, and Packs

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

Passive stress-strain model and ultimate strength prediction for short steel tube confined concrete (STCC) columns allowing for size effect

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials
Steel tubes can significantly enhance the strength and ductility of concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) and steel tube confined concrete (STCC) columns. Existing research work have mainly focused on the former type while the later type of members not only ...
