Psychometric properties of the Death Reflection Scale - Indian version

open access: yesMethodsX
Contemplation of mortality often helps people to become more mindful of their living, cherishing relationships, experiences and opportunities. Therefore, the present study aims to evaluate the validity of the Death Reflection Scale within the Indians.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Confirmatory factor analysis applied to the Force Concept Inventory

open access: yesPhysical Review Physics Education Research, 2018
In 1995, Huffman and Heller used exploratory factor analysis to draw into question the factors of the Force Concept Inventory (FCI). Since then several papers have been published examining the factors of the FCI on larger sets of student responses and ...

Dimensionality of the Pay Satisfaction Questionnaire: A Confirmatory Factor Analytic Investigation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The present study applied confirmatory factor analysis in investigating the dimensionality of the Pay Satisfaction Questionnaire. Using a more rigorous and extensive series of tests than has been the case with past research, and employing longitudinal ...

The factorial validity and reliability of three versions of the Aggression Questionnaire using Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Exploratory Structural Equation Modelling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) measures aggression in four domains: Anger, Hostility, Physical Aggression and Verbal Aggression. Moreover, a number of shorter versions of the AQ have emerged.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Consumer perception towards meat safety: confirmatory factor analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This study was conducted to analyze consumers’ perceptions on meat safety. The results indicate that the main determinants of consumer perceptions are government’s safety awareness, campaigns and health conscious. Therefore, from the practical standpoint,

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
