Properties of Matrix Variate Beta Type 3 Distribution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2009
We study several properties of matrix variate beta type 3 distribution. We also derive probability density functions of the product of two independent random matrices when one of them is beta type 3.

Effects of SADS‐CoV accessory proteins NS3a, NS7a, and NS7b on viral pathogenicity: A multi‐omics investigation

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
This study has elucidated the role of three swine acute diarrhea syndrome coronavirus (SADS‐CoV) accessory proteins in influencing viral pathogenicity and preliminarily explored the host molecular targets and pathways affected by the NS3a, NS7a, and NS7b proteins of SADS‐CoV.

Derivatives of Humbert confluent hypergeometric functions with respect to their parameters [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
The main aim of the present work deals with the various derivatives to any order of the Humbert confluent hypergeometric functions with respect to the parameters is presented, believed to be new, by using the conception of the calculus. The present paper contains various properties and compact forms for the derivatives with respect to the parameters ...

Rapid and chemically diverse C transfer from trees to mycorrhizal fruit bodies in the forest

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Ectomycorrhizal fungi (EMF) are common belowground tree symbionts, supplying trees with water and nutrients. In return, large amounts of C assimilated by trees can be allocated into EMF. However, the chemical forms in which the C is transferred from trees to fungi under

An Extension of Wright Function and Its Properties

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2015
The paper is devoted to the study of the function Wα,βγ,δ(z), which is an extension of the classical Wright function and Kummer confluent hypergeometric function.

A relation between the Mordell-Tornheim multiple Dirichlet series and the confluent hypergeometric function [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We investigate a relation between the Mordell-Tornheim type of multiple Dirichlet series and a confluent hypergeometric function. We prove it by applying the Mellin-Barnes integral formula. Also, main results in this paper contain two kinds of functional equations for double $L$-functions as a special case.

Hypergeometric-Gaussian Modes

open access: yes, 2007
We studied a novel family of paraxial laser beams forming an overcomplete yet nonorthogonal set of modes. These modes have a singular phase profile and are eigenfunctions of the photon orbital angular momentum. The intensity profile is characterized by a

Age‐Dependent Regulation of Hippocampal Inflammation by the Mitochondrial Translocator Protein in Mice

open access: yesAging Cell, EarlyView.
The role of mitochondrial translocator protein (TSPO) in hippocampal inflammation is age‐dependent, with TSPO deletion drastically exacerbating inflammation in aged mice, while dampening it in young mice. This TSPO–aging interaction was linked to NF‐kβ and interferon regulatory transcriptional networks. TSPO deletion exacerbated age‐dependent depletion

On the zeros of Confluent Hypergeometric Functions

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we study the zero sets of the confluent hypergeometric function $_{1}F_{1}( ; ;z):=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}\frac{( )_{n}}{n!( )_{n}}z^{n}$, where $ , , - \not\in \mathbb{Z}_{\leq 0}$, and show that if $\{z_n\}_{n=1}^{\infty}$ is the zero set of $_{1}F_{1}( ; ;z)$ with multiple zeros repeated and modulus in increasing order, then ...

Single‐Cell RNA‐Seq Reveals Aging‐Related Impairment of Microglial Efferocytosis Contributing to Apoptotic Cells Accumulation After Retinal Injury

open access: yesAging Cell, EarlyView.
Microglia engage with apoptotic cells via cell‐surface receptors, such as proto‐oncogene tyrosine‐protein kinase MER (MerTK) and Axl; these receptors interact with the bridging molecule growth arrest‐specific 6 (Gas6) on apoptotic cells. Young microglia demonstrate efficient efferocytosis of apoptotic cells, but this process is impaired in aged ...
