Dynamic Bonds Reinforced Polyamide Elastomer for Biomedical Orthosis

A dynamic bonds (DBs) reinforced shape memory polyamide elastomer is developed using reactive extrusion. Dynamic covalent networks enhance interlayer adhesion in 4D‐printed objects by utilizing the combined effects of multiple DBs, reducing mechanical anisotropy and improving the mechanical and shape memory properties.

Sampling a design space to target a class of possible desirable outcomes, creating an artificial intuition, can accelerate future optimizations to those targets. From Single Sensors to Sensor Arrays: Leveraging Supervised Machine Learning to Read Multiple Soft Capacitive Sensors with a Single Pair of Wires

The study presents a method for detecting touch location and force magnitude on soft capacitive sensors without complex electrode patterning. Multifrequency impedance measurements are combined with machine learning to accurately classify five sensing zones and estimate applied force with low error.
