Fast Neutron Detector Based on Hybrid 2D Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents the direct detection of fast neutrons using flexible hybrid 2D perovskite (PEA2PbBr4) thin‐film detectors. Thanks to their high low‐Z elements content and good charge transport, these materials enable efficient neutron detection. The thin film configuration allowed the operation at low voltage, and offer scalability, flexibility, and

Sturm’s theorems for conformable fractional differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In the present paper, we make use of local properties of the recently established definition of conformable fractional derivative. Sturm’s separation and Sturm’s comparison theorems are proved for differential equations involving conformable fractional ...

Conformable fractional derivative and its application to fractional Klein-Gordon equation

open access: yesThermal Science, 2019
This paper adopts conformable fractional derivative to describe the fractional Klein-Gordon equations. The conformable fractional derivative is a new simple well-behaved definition. The fractional complex transform and variational iteration method are used to solve the fractional equation.

High‐Throughput Microfluidic‐Mediated Assembly of Layer‐By‐Layer Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of polymer films on nanoparticle (NP) surfaces is a promising technique for targeted drug delivery. Despite its success in preclinical mouse models, a current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) compliant, clinical‐scale production method has been lacking.

A modification to the conformable fractional calculus with some applications

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2020
In the conformable fractional calculus, TαTβ≠TβTα and IαIβ≠IβIα, where Tα and Iα are conformable fractional differential and integral operators, respectively. Also, Tβ≠Tnα and Iβ≠Inα, where β=nα for some n∈N.

High‐Performance Recyclable Polyester Elastomers Through Transient Strain‐Stiffening

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transient strain‐crystallization simultaneously strengthens and toughens block polyester elastomers while conserving recyclability. Using controlled polymerization catalysis and commercial monomers, block polyester elastomers outperform current commercial elastomers, entering a new region of tensile mechanical property space.

Cardiac Organoid Model Inspired Micro‐Robot Smart Patch to Treat Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The heart organoid model exhibits the acidic microenvironment characteristic of myocardial infarction, which emerges as a pivotal force propelling the movement of micro‐robots. These micro‐robots, administered through microneedles, can penetrate deep into the tissue, effectively delivering therapeutic payloads to facilitate heart repair.
