Conformational flexibility and polymerization of vesicular stomatitis virus matrix protein

Journal of Molecular Biology, 1997
The matrix protein of vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) plays a pivotal role in viral assembly. We previously demonstrated the ability of M protein to self-associate at low salt concentrations. Now, we show the ability of M protein to polymerize in the presence of ZnCl2 in a nucleation-dependent manner.

Matrix representation of higher integer conformal spin symmetries

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1995
Using infinite matrices, we construct the generating functional of higher integer conformal spin extensions of the Virasoro algebra and the SU(2) spin 1/2 representation loop algebra. Higher conformal spin symmetries are realized on the set F1/2 of the configurations of the homogeneous Ising chain. This is an infinite-dimensional vector space reducible

Conformal Phased Array Diagnostic by Fast Matrix Method

2020
Near-field data are used as diagnostics tool to reconstruct the aperture field distribution of conformal array antennas and identify defective element. The matrix method is used for the diagnosis of faulty elements in large conformal arrays antennas. The problem of inversion and regularization of resulting matrix is addressed.

Conformational Isomerism Studied By Matrix Isolation Vibrational Spectroscopy

1981
An important advantage of carrying out vibrational spectroscopy in low-temperature matrices is that the bandwidths obtained are much smaller than those in other phases. Thus two bands which have only a small frequency separation may often be resolved using matrix isolation spectroscopy but not by vibrational spectroscopy of, say, a solution at room ...
