Design and fabrication of conformal cooling channels in molds
Conformal cooling (CC) channels are a series of cooling channels that are equidistant from the mold cavity surfaces. CC systems show great promise to substitute conventional straight-drilled cooling systems as the former can provide more uniform and efficient cooling effects and thus improve the production quality and efficiency significantly. Although

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Influence of Conformal Cooling Channel Parameters on Hot Stamping Tool and Press-Hardening Process
Press hardening is a technology increasingly used in the automotive industries to produce high-strength structural parts in boron steel. The part strengthening is due to a martensitic microstructure, which is obtained during the quenching phase of the ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...
