Machine learning aided design of conformal cooling channels for injection molding
During the injection molding process, the cooling process represents the largest portion of the cycle time. The effectiveness of the cooling system significantly affects the production efficiency and part quality, where it is limited by the conventional cooling channels manufactured by the drilling and casting process.

This study proposes an eco-friendly (ECO) mold that is fabricated using the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) method, which utilizes a three-dimensional (3D) cooling channel. Unlike previous studies, we designed surface-type conformal cooling channels (CCC)

Automated Design of Honeycomb Conformal Cooling Channels for Improving Injection Molding Quality
The study of conformal cooling channel usually has adopted two assumptions in model design: the use of (1) a hot runner system and (2) a one-mold-one-cavity design. These assumptions substantially simplify the research.

New Trends in Hybrid Finishing Processes of Metallic Additively Fabricated Parts – A Short Review
This comprehensive survey highlights some important finishing processes used in fabricating additively manufactured parts, mainly using SLM (Selective Laser Melting), which is equivalently termed PBF (Powder Bed Fusion).

Design and fabrication of conformal cooling channels in molds
Conformal cooling (CC) channels are a series of cooling channels that are equidistant from the mold cavity surfaces. CC systems show great promise to substitute conventional straight-drilled cooling systems as the former can provide more uniform and efficient cooling effects and thus improve the production quality and efficiency significantly. Although

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
