Differential geometry and protein conformation. V. Medium‐range conformational influence of the individual amino acids

Biopolymers, 1987
AbstractA previous differential geometric analysis of the conformational properties of the various amino acids has been extended to study their influence on folding over a larger backbone interval. In addition, statistical effects associated with variation in the number of the individual amino acids in the database have been treated in greater detail ...

Conformal Geometry, Differential Equations and Associated Transformations

2002
By a series of examples, we illustrate some rather remarkable and surprising (at least to some) relationships between (1) all three-dimensional conformal Lorentzian manifolds and a wide class of 3rd order ODEs (all 3rd order ODEs with vanishing Wunschmann invariant) and (2) all four dimensional conformal Lorentzian manifolds and a wide class of pairs ...

Local differential geometry of null curves in conformally flat space-time

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1989
The conformally invariant differential geometry of null curves in conformally flat space-times is given, using the six-vector formalism, which has generalizations to higher dimensions. This is then paralleled by a twistor description, with a twofold merit: first, sometimes the description is easier in twistor terms and sometimes in six-vector terms ...

Conformal Differential Geometry

1955
This thesis is a study of some properties of arcs which remain invariant under certain types of conformal representations. The study is carried on first in the conformal plane, then in conformal 3-space, and finally in conformal n-space. It is comprised of most of the research on this subject which has been carried on to date by Professors N.D.

Conformable Differential Geometry of Some Special Curves in the Equi-Affine Space

Journal of New Theory
This study investigates the conformable differential geometry of some special curves defined in the equi-affine space. The conformable derivative, a generalization of fractional calculus, is a flexible operator controlled by a parameter $\alpha$ that enables the modeling of nonlocal behavior in functions.
