Geometric Algebra: An Introduction with Applications in Euclidean and Conformal Geometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This thesis presents an introduction to geometric algebra for the uninitiated. It contains examples of how some of the more traditional topics of mathematics can be reexpressed in terms of geometric algebra along with proofs of several important theorems

Geometric operations implemented by conformal geometric algebra neural nodes

open access: yesCoRR, 2013
Geometric algebra is an optimal frame work for calculating with vectors. The geometric algebra of a space includes elements that represent all the its subspaces (lines, planes, volumes, ...). Conformal geometric algebra expands this approach to elementary representations of arbitrary points, point pairs, lines, circles, planes and spheres.

A Mathematica module for Conformal Geometric Algebra and Origami Folding

open access: yesEPiC Series in Computing, 2018
We implemented a Mathematica module of CGA which includes functions to denote CGA elements and compute several operations in CGA. We can draw the figure in 3D space which is corresponding to a CGA element. Our draw function is using Gr\"{o}bner Basis for simplifying equations of figures. It can be used for any dimensional figures.

The Role of Dice in the Emergence of the Probability Calculus

open access: yesInternational Statistical Review, EarlyView.
Summary The early development of the probability calculus was clearly influenced by the roll of dice. However, while dice have been cast since time immemorial, documented calculations on the frequency of various dice throws date back only to the mid‐13th century.

Follow Me Into Math: Near‐Peer Influencers Take the Stage

open access: yesSchool Science and Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Young people like to be entertained, and to entertain others. What if students were to invest enough of their time and effort into learning topics from our mathematics courses to become experts in the eyes of their peers? In this study we positioned college students and high school students as mathematical performers on the stage in front of ...

Geometric computing in computer graphics and robotics using conformal geometric algebra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In computer graphics and robotics a lot of different mathematical systems like vector algebra, homogenous coordinates, quaternions or dual quaternions are used for different applications.

Rail wear inspection based on computer-aided design model and point cloud data

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2018
Railway transportation demands more efficient and accurate rail wear inspection systems to ensure the train operation safety. To obtain continuous three-dimensional data, a structured light rail wear inspection system is developed in this article, and ...

Double Conformal Geometric Algebra for Quadrics and Darboux Cyclides

open access: yesProceedings of the 33rd Computer Graphics International, 2016
We introduce Clifford geometric algebra based multivector modeling of quartic and general quadric surfaces, Darboux cyclides, Dupin cyclies, tori and pairs of standard CGA objects. A computer visualization is briefly described.

3D Cadastral Data Model Based on Conformal Geometry Algebra

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2016
Three-dimensional (3D) cadastral data models that are based on Euclidean geometry (EG) are incapable of providing a unified representation of geometry and topological relations for 3D spatial units in a cadastral database. This lack of unification causes
