Haldane Statistics in the Finite Size Entanglement Spectra of Laughlin States
We conjecture that the counting of the levels in the orbital entanglement spectra (OES) of finite-sized Laughlin Fractional Quantum Hall (FQH) droplets at filling $\nu=1/m$ is described by the Haldane statistics of particles in a box of finite size. This

D-brane Construction of the 5D NHEK Dual [PDF]
Extremal but non-supersymmetric charged black holes with SU(2)_L spin in IIB string theory compactified to five dimensions on K^3 x S^1 are considered. These have a near-horizon or NHEK region with an enhanced SL(2,R)_L conformal symmetry.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Conformality or confinement: (IR)relevance of topological excitations
We study aspects of the conformality to confinement transition for non-supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories with fermions in arbitrary chiral or vectorlike representations.

Enzymatic and microbial routes to bioplastics: The green chemistry frontier of biopolymers
Microbial biosynthesis and engineered enzyme platforms are expanding the design space of polyhydroxyalkanoate bioplastics. By combining fermentation, PHA synthase engineering and cell‐free modular systems, tailored biodegradable polymers can be produced with tunable properties, supporting more sustainable materials and future circular bioeconomy ...

Generalized Hawking-Page transitions
We construct holographic backgrounds that are dual by the AdS/CFT correspondence to Euclidean conformal field theories on products of spheres S d 1 × S d 2 $$ {S}^{d_1}\times {S}^{d_2} $$ , for conformal field theories whose dual may be approximated by ...

On the Non-renormalization of the AdS Radius [PDF]
We show that the relation between the 't Hooft coupling and the radius of AdS is not renormalized at one-loop in the sigma model perturbation theory. We prove this by computing the quantum effective action for the superstring on AdS_5 x S^5 and showing ...

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Diffusion-Limited Aggregation on Curved Surfaces [PDF]
We develop a general theory of transport-limited aggregation phenomena occurring on curved surfaces, based on stochastic iterated conformal maps and conformal projections to the complex plane. To illustrate the theory, we use stereographic projections to
