Adaptive 4D‐Printed Vascular Stents With Low‐Temperature‐Activated and Intelligent Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Microarchitected coronary artery stents were fabricated using a polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based shape memory polymer (SMP) composite via projection micro‐stereolithography (PµSL) 4D printing. By incorporating diethyl phthalate (DEP) as a plasticizer, the thermal transition temperature (Ttran) was modulated to about 37°C, enabling rapid and autonomous ...

Expansion functions in perturbative QCD and the determination of $\alpha_s(M_\tau^2)$

open access: yes, 2011
The conventional series in powers of the coupling in perturbative QCD have zero radius of convergence and fail to reproduce the singularity of the QCD correlators like the Adler function at $\alpha_s=0$.

SI‐bioATRP in Mesoporous Silica for Size‐Exclusion Driven Local Polymer Placement

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An enzyme‐catalyzed surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI‐bioATRP) of an anionic monomer within mesoporous silica particles, using hemoglobin as a catalyst, allows for controlling the location of the formed polymer via size‐exclusion effects between the nanopores and the biomacromolecules, thereby opening routes to functional ...

A study of quantum field theories in AdS at finite coupling

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study the O(N) and Gross-Neveu models at large N on AdS d+1 background. Thanks to the isometries of AdS, the observables in these theories are constrained by the SO(d, 2) conformal group even in the presence of mass deformations, as was discussed by ...

A Conformal Field Theory for Eternal Inflation

open access: yes, 2009
We study a statistical model defined by a conformally invariant distribution of overlapping spheres in arbitrary dimension d. The model arises as the asymptotic distribution of cosmic bubbles in d+1 dimensional de Sitter space, and also as the asymptotic

Role of Histidine‐Containing Peptoids in Accelerating the Kinetics of Calcite Growth

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Amphiphilic histidine‐containing peptoids mimic carbonic anhydrase (CA) to accelerate calcite step growth. In the presence of Zn2+, they promote the deprotonation of HCO3−, the desolvation of Ca2+, and the reorganization of interfacial hydration layers, thereby reducing the activation barrier for calcite growth.

Black hole evaporation in conformal (Weyl) gravity

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
In this work, we explore all possible scenarios in the evaporation process of a spherical neutral AdS black hole in four-dimensional conformal gravity, where the equations of states are branched. In one branch, the final states correspond to the extremal

Broadband, Flexible, Skin‐Compatible Carbon Dots/Graphene Photodetectors for Wearable Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Broadband, flexible photodetectors integrating nitrogen‐rich carbon dots with single‐layer graphene on plastic substrates are demonstrated. A biocompatible chitosan–glycerol electrolyte enables efficient low‐voltage gating and on‐skin operation. The devices exhibit ultraviolet‐to‐near‐infrared response, mechanical robustness under bending, and verified

Holographic Thermodynamics of Higher-Dimensional AdS Black Holes with CFT Rescaling

open access: yesUniverse
In this paper, we study the thermodynamic behavior of charged AdS black holes in higher-dimensional spacetimes within the framework of conformal holographic extended thermodynamics.

Self-similarity in Laplacian Growth

open access: yes, 2006
We consider Laplacian Growth of self-similar domains in different geometries. Self-similarity determines the analytic structure of the Schwarz function of the moving boundary.
