Conformal Symmetry and Reverberations

Physical Review D, 1972
We show that the operator conformal invariance breaks down for zero-mass fields unless they are free fields in even space-time dimension. This phenomenon is linked to the occurrence of "reverberations." We are led to the concept of weak conformal symmetry. In theories with anomalous dimensions we have reverberations and can only maintain weak conformal

Symmetry and Conformation of the Cycloalkanes

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1971
The conformations of the cycloalkanes and related molecules are expressed in terms of a symmetry-adapted set of coordinates. The coordinates measure the deviation of the molecule from a planar regular structure. Use of these coordinates leads to relatively simple expressions for the conformational energy and to a method for finding possible paths for ...

Pseudoparticles and conformal symmetry

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1977
The relation of conformal symmetry to the existence of zero energy-momentum (improved) solutions is investigated in four-dimensional space for a class of Lagrangian models. It is pointed out that in Minkowski space such solutions are either constant (or trivial) or the theory is conformally invariant.
