ABSTRACT Immune homeostasis is indispensable for preserving organismal integrity, orchestrated through complex molecular networks encompassing immune cell dynamics, microbial cues, and epigenetic regulation. Among these, the gut microbiota‐non‐coding RNA (ncRNA) axis has recently garnered substantial attention as a multifaceted modulator of host ...

A confrontation of economic and theological approaches to “ending poverty” in Africa [PDF]
We seek to assess the adequacy of an “economic” as opposed to a “Christian” worldview in confronting one of the major challenges to the world, namely the chronic nature of absolute poverty in much of Africa.

Selective Lithium Recovery via Photothermal Evaporation and Hydration‐Controlled Adsorption
A bilayer Mo‐LDH@Sponge composite is developed to couple interfacial photothermal evaporation with hydration‐controlled lithium adsorption. Solar‐induced heating dynamically regulates Li+ hydration and transport, enabling selective lithium capture from saline water. This work provides mechanistic insight into photothermal–adsorption coupling for energy‐

This study highlights the effectiveness of Zn‐induced dendrite layers in enhancing the durability of NiMo HER catalysts under dynamic electrochemical conditions. Through in situ dendritic passivation, the Zn‐NiMo catalyst preserves catalytic active sites and mitigates irreversible Ni oxidation/hydroxylation during repeated load fluctuation.

Solution structures of a series of cyclic lipodepsipeptides from Pseudomonas reveal that these specialized metabolites adopt left‐handed alpha helical conformations of only two types, being either ‘stapled’ or ‘catch‐pole’ helix. The particular modular distribution of the biosynthetic gene clusters is found to determine the extent of their conserved ...

Conflict as a Part of the Bargaining Process: Theory and Empirical Evidence [PDF]
This paper explores the role of conflict as a bargaining tool. It first presents a simple bargaining model with one-sided incomplete information. Parties can choose the scope of the confrontation they may want to engage in: A limited conflict that only ...

Beyond Mean Field Confrontation of Different Models with High Transverse Momentum Proton Spectra
Several models have been proposed to simulate heavy ion reactions beyond the mean field level. The lack of data in phase space regions which may be sensitive to different treatments of fluctuations made it difficult to judge these approaches.

This study combines the biological structure of octopuses with the “3D structure” of spacer fabrics to fabricate a dual‐interface solar evaporator with adaptive hydrothermal balance. Water adaptation is achieved through the differentiated design of the upper and lower layers, and dynamic hydrothermal balance is realized by dynamically regulating the ...
