Lessons Learned From a Delayed‐Start Trial of Modafinil for Freezing of Gait in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Freezing of gait (FOG) in people with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) is debilitating and has limited treatments. Modafinil modulates beta/gamma band activity in the pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN), like PPN deep brain stimulation. We therefore tested the hypothesis that Modafinil would improve FOG in PwPD.

A Hybrid Method of Traffic Congestion Prediction and Control
With the increasing complexity of urban transportation system, serious traffic congestion brings inconvenience to travel. It is also very difficult to predict and control traffic congestion. Therefore, this paper takes urban traffic condition and traffic

A New Coordinated Control Method on the Intersection of Traffic Region
Intersection regions widely exist in road networks as crucial connections, and the congestion effects on traffic in the networks cannot be ignored. In general, a conventional intersection region includes a merging region and more than two ramps, whose ...

Congestion control for MANETs: An overview
In a MANET, there is no need to deploy any infrastructure to make nodes to communicate with each other. MANETs have unique characteristics that complicate congestion control. The standard TCP congestion control mechanism is not able to handle the special

Adaptive 4D‐Printed Vascular Stents With Low‐Temperature‐Activated and Intelligent Deployment
Microarchitected coronary artery stents were fabricated using a polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based shape memory polymer (SMP) composite via projection micro‐stereolithography (PµSL) 4D printing. By incorporating diethyl phthalate (DEP) as a plasticizer, the thermal transition temperature (Ttran) was modulated to about 37°C, enabling rapid and autonomous ...
