Abstract Infantile exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is a rare condition, most often encountered in the context of cystic fibrosis or Shwachman–Diamond syndrome. The SPINK1 gene encodes a trypsin inhibitor protein that prevents the premature activation of digestive enzymes in pancreatic tissue.

Molecular phylogenetic and morphological analyses revealed a new species, Leucocoprinus roseus (Agaricaceae, Basidiomycota), from Punjab, Pakistan

In this article, we describe a new fungal species, Leucocoprinus roseus, collected in Canal View Park, District Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, Pakistan. The species is proposed as new based on detailed morphological observations and molecular phylogenetic analysis using nuclear ribosomal DNA internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) sequences.

Uncovering a new species of Hemileccinum (Boletaceae, Basidiomycota) from India with morphological characteristics and multi‐gene molecular phylogeny

While undertaking macrofungal forays to several forested areas of Uttarakhand (India), a noteworthy and previously unknown species of Hemileccinum was unveiled. This species is proposed here as Hemileccinum indicum sp. nov. It is presented with both morphological characteristics and multigene molecular phylogenetic analysis.
