Comparative evaluation of the attractiveness of new polyethylene screens versus West African tiny target for the control of tsetse flies

The material has no significant difference in captures (non‐shiny cotton‐polyester screens vs. the shiny polyethylene screens), but the vertical screen attracted significantly more G. tachinoides for each type of material. Full white horizontal screen was significantly lower than the reference WATT.

Cellular immune response of Amblyomma sculptum and Amblyomma americanum to entomopathogenic fungi: Implications for biological tick control

Amblyomma sculptum showed a plasmatocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana increased plasmatocytes and reduced granulocytes, whereas Metarhizium robertsii did not cause significant changes. Amblyomma americanum showed a granulocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana reduced total haemocytes and granulocytes. B.

Subnational Border Reforms and Economic Activity in Africa

ABSTRACT Using GIS methods, we identify territories in Africa affected by subnational border reforms between 1992 and 2013. Descriptive statistics reveal that these territories differed from other African regions across several key dimensions. For example, these territories were more populous and exhibited greater ethnic diversity.
