Complex Kerr Geometry, Twistors and the Dirac Electron

open access: yes, 2008
The Kerr-Newman spinning particle displays some remarkable relations to the Dirac electron and has a reach spinor structure which is based on a twistorial description of the Kerr congruence determined by the Kerr theorem. We consider the relation between

Géométrie Orthogonale Non Symétrique et Congruences Quadratiques (Nonsymmetric Orthogonal Geometry and Quadratic Congruences) [PDF]

open access: yesGeometriae Dedicata, 2001
This paper is devoted to the study of quadratic congruences, which appear in the theory of exceptional bundles on projective spaces. A quadratic congruence associates to each point P of a projective space ℙ a quadratic in ℙ containing P. We study several geometric constructions of quadratic congruences and try to classify them.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Timelike line congruences via surface theory in Minkowski 3-space

open access: yesAIP Advances
Line congruences are crucial in classical geometry, particularly in relating one surface to another through families of lines. These correspondences are most valuable when they preserve key geometric features of the original surface.

Geometric discretization of the Koenigs nets

open access: yes, 2002
We introduce the Koenigs lattice, which is a new integrable reduction of the quadrilateral lattice (discrete conjugate net) and provides natural integrable discrete analogue of the Koenigs net. We construct the Darboux-type transformations of the Koenigs

Kerr Spinning Particle, Strings, and Superparticle Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
A combined model of the Kerr spinning particle and superparticle is considered. The structure of the Kerr geometry is presented in a complex form as being created by a complex source.

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Geroch group for Einstein spaces and holographic integrability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We review how Geroch's reduction method is extended from Ricci-flat to Einstein spacetimes. The Ehlers-Geroch SL(2,R) group is still present in the three-dimensional sigma-model that captures the dynamics, but only a subgroup of it is solution-generating.

Mechanical Properties of Architected Polymer Lattice Materials: A Comparative Study of Additive Manufacturing and CAD Using FEM and µ‐CT

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how pore shape and manufacturing‐induced deviations affect the mechanical properties of 3D‐printed lattice materials with constant porosity. Combining µ‐CT analysis, FEM, and compression testing, the authors show that structural imperfections reduce stiffness and strength, while bulk material inhomogeneities probably enhance ...
