Interface‐Induced Stability of Nontrivial Topological Spin Textures: Unveiling Room‐Temperature Hopfions and Skyrmions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 1, 2 January 2026.
The first room‐temperature, zero‐field observation of stable skyrmion–hopfion spin textures in EuS─Bi2Se3─EuS trilayers is reported. Combining Lorentz TEM imaging and micromagnetic modeling, the authors unveil how interfacial Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction and geometric confinement stabilize these multidimensional topological states.

Global Changes in Lepidopteran Phylogenetic Diversity Across Space and Time

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
Amidst increasing reports of insect declines, it is ever more important to understand spatial and temporal insect diversity patterns and processes. In this study, we repurposed the wealth of sequence data initially used for species identification, to detect global changes in the phylogenetic diversity (PD) of Lepidopteran communities over recent ...

Information completeness in Nelson algebras of rough sets induced by quasiorders

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we give an algebraic completeness theorem for constructive logic with strong negation in terms of finite rough set-based Nelson algebras determined by quasiorders. We show how for a quasiorder $R$, its rough set-based Nelson algebra can be

A Reversed‐Active Sites Strategy to Boost the Activity and Durability of Perovskite for Seawater Electrolysis

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
The capacity difference for inhibiting Cl− corrosion of LOM and AEM based catalysts preliminarily proves the effectiveness of the reversed‐active sites strategy. By virtue of regulation of ion ratio, perovskite La0.3SrCo0.5Fe0.5Ox (La0.3) with higher participation of lattice oxygen in OER, rapid bulk oxygen diffusion, and excellent OH− adsorption ...

Combinatorial Space Tiling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The present article studies combinatorial tilings of Euclidean or spherical spaces by polytopes, serving two main purposes: first, to survey some of the main developments in combinatorial space tiling; and second, to highlight some new and some old open ...

Random Lie bracket on sl2(Fp)

open access: yesRandom Structures &Algorithms, Volume 68, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT We study a random walk on the Lie algebra sl2(Fp)$$ {\mathfrak{sl}}_2\left({\mathbf{F}}_p\right) $$ where new elements are produced by randomly applying adjoint operators of two generators. Focusing on the generic case where the generators are selected at random, we analyze the limiting distribution of the random walk and the speed at which it

Discrete asymptotic nets and W-congruences in Plucker line geometry

open access: yes, 2000
The asymptotic lattices and their transformations are studied within the line geometry approach. It is shown that the discrete asymptotic nets are represented by isotropic congruences in the Plucker quadric.

MA‐LCPPA: A Multi‐Aggregator Lattice‐Based Conditional Privacy‐Preserving Authentication Scheme for Scalable and Quantum‐Secure VANETs

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper addresses the limitations of existing conditional privacy‐preserving authentication (CPPA) schemes in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), which are either computationally heavy or vulnerable to quantum attacks. It proposes a multi‐aggregator lattice‐based CPPA (MA‐LCPPA) framework that distributes verification across multiple roadside units ...

Relation between porosity‐based and crystal‐based femtosecond laser‐induced nanogratings in oxide glasses

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Glass Science, Volume 17, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Femtosecond laser irradiation in glass, under controlled conditions, can induce two types of nanogratings (NG): porous nanogratings (pNG) and crystal/glass nanogratings (cNG). While most glasses exhibit only one type, binary aluminosilicate glasses have shown both types of NG.
