On BI-Algebras

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2017
In this paper, we introduce a new algebra, called a BI-algebra, which is a generalization of a (dual) implication algebra and we discuss the basic properties of BI-algebras, and investigate ideals and congruence relations.

Kernels of Residuated Maps as Complete Congruences in Lattices

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2020
In a context of lattice-valued functions (also called lattice-valued fuzzy sets), where the codomain is a complete lattice L, an equivalence relation defined on L by the equality of related cuts is investigated.

Relative annihilator-preserving congruence relations and relative annihilator-preserving homomorphisms in bounded distributive semilattices

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2014
In this paper we shall study a notion of relative annihilator-preserving congruence relation and relative annihilator-preserving homomorphism in the class of bounded distributive semilattices. We shall give a topological characterization of this class of

Some congruences related to a congruence of Van Hamme [PDF]

open access: yesIntegral Transforms and Special Functions, 2019
We establish some supercongruences related to a supercongruence of Van Hamme, such as \begin{align*} \sum_{k=0}^{(p+1)/2} (-1)^k (4k-1)\frac{(-\frac{1}{2})_k^3}{k!^3} &\equiv p(-1)^{(p+1)/2}+p^3(2-E_{p-3})\pmod{p^{4}},\\ \sum_{k=0}^{(p+1)/2} (4k-1)^5 \frac{(-\frac{1}{2})_k^4}{k!^4} &\equiv 16p\pmod{p^{4}}, \end{align*} where $p$ is an odd prime

Extended BCK-Ideal Based on Single-Valued Neutrosophic Hyper BCK-Ideals

open access: yesBulletin of the Section of Logic, 2023
This paper introduces the concept of single-valued neutrosophic hyper \(BCK\)-subalgebras as a generalization and alternative of hyper \(BCK\)-algebras and on any given nonempty set constructs at least one single-valued neutrosophic hyper \(BCK ...

Annihilator-preserving congruence relations in distributive nearlattices [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica, 2018
A nearlattice here is a join semilattice with a greatest element in which every principal ideal is a lattice. It is said to be distributive if all these lattices are distributive. A relative annihilator of elements \(a\) and \(b\) in a distributive nearlattice \(A\) is defined, following an earlier paper by the authors [Miskolc Math. Notes 16, No.

An Efficient Approach to Approximate Fuzzy Ideals of Semirings Using Bipolar Techniques

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The bipolar fuzzy (BF) set is an extension of the fuzzy set used to solve the uncertainty of having two poles, positive and negative. The rough set is a useful mathematical technique to handle vagueness and impreciseness.

Integral period relations and congruences

open access: yesAlgebra & Number Theory, 2022
Under relatively mild and natural conditions, we establish an integral period relations for the (real or imaginary) quadratic base change of an elliptic cusp form. This answers a conjecture of Hida regarding the {\it congruence number} controlling the congruences between this base change and other eigenforms which are not base change.

Shared Genetic Effects and Antagonistic Pleiotropy Between Multiple Sclerosis and Common Cancers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epidemiologic studies have reported inconsistent altered cancer risk in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Factors such as immune dysregulation, comorbidities, and disease‐modifying therapies may contribute to this variability.
