Clothing skirt designed on conical truss model [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Manufacturing, 2013
Several applications of Origami have been tested in industrial area. However, Origami based design is found only in lamp shade and wrapping in design area, and has not been practically applied especially in clothing. In this paper, the conical truss model is applied in the clothing skirt, and the simulation software from 2D to 3D is developed by ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF HYDRODYNAMIC CONDITIONS OF THE LIQUID FLOW AROUND THE CONIC SURFACE IN THE CYLINDRICAL CHANNEL [PDF]

open access: yesТехника и технология пищевых производств, 2015
Membrane methods are widespread in the processing of liquid food media. Development and implementation of new membrane equipment involves the reasonable choice of its parameters, including the sizes of several structural elements.

A Geometric Theory Integrating Human Binocular Vision With Eye Movement

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2020
A theory of the binocular system with asymmetric eyes (AEs) is developed in the framework of bicentric perspective projections. The AE accounts for the eyeball's global asymmetry produced by the foveal displacement from the posterior pole, the main ...

Significant Conditions on the Two-electron Reduced Density Matrix from the Constructive Solution of N-representability

open access: yes, 2012
We recently presented a constructive solution to the N-representability problem of the two-electron reduced density matrix (2-RDM)---a systematic approach to constructing complete conditions to ensure that the 2-RDM represents a realistic N-electron ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Investigation of a new modulated aperture using speckle techniques

open access: yesBeni-Suef University Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, 2022
Background A design of equally spaced eight-circles placed at equal distances from the origin is suggested. Three models corresponding to the eight-circle design considering conic, linear, and quadratic distributions are investigated. This arrangement is

Modeling of formation regularities of conical surfaces

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Physical-Technical Series, 2021
The scheme of processing conical surfaces by grinding them to a flat tool is considered and a technical solution for the implementation of such processing is proposed. Using the created device allows implementing the group method of forming conical parts with a deviation of the generatrix of the cone from straightness of not more than ± 0.00012 mm.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.
